“Lucia” selected for France Ireland Co-Production Workshop
Lucia, a feature-length project in development with EZ Films and set to be directed by Aisling Walsh, has been selected for the France and Ireland Co-Production workshop. Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) are collaborating on this co-production workshop, which is designed to help French and Irish producers find co-producing partners in each respective country. This follows the historic signing of the Agreement between the Government of Ireland and the Government of the French Republic on Cinematographic Co-Production, which was signed in Paris in December 2022. The co-production agreement will enable and encourage increased collaboration and production between Ireland and France.
“Lucia” is a feature-length drama focusing on Lucia Joyce, the talented but troubled daughter of author James Joyce as she struggles to fulfil her own hopes and dreams while performing her role as her father’s muse and confidant.
